Shipment Status Notifications

Connecting to TrackShip allows you to send shipment status & delivery updates to your customers. The shipment Status Notifications are automatic emails that are sent to your customers when there is a change in their order’s shipment status.

To set up the shipment status notifications, navigate to:

WooCommerce > Shipment Tracking > TrackShip > Shipment Status Notifications

available shipment status emails:

  • In Transit
  • Return To Sender
  • Available for Pickup
  • Out for Delivery
  • Failed Attempt
  • Delivered

Note: the shipment status notification emails are being sent from your WooCommerce Store, the same as the standard WooCommerce order status emails, the only difference is that they are based on the shipment status.

Admin Notifications

Late Shipment notifications – you can choose to get notified when a shipment status is not updated to “delivered” or “Returned to Sender” after a certain number of days,  you can the number of days that will trigger the notification.

Customize the Shipment Status Emails

You can chose which shipment statuses email to enable and edit the shipment status email in customizer with preview.

For each shipment Status email, you can customize the modification emails with a preview:

  • Enable the email notification
  • Preview order – choose the order to preview in the email customizer
  • Recipients – defaults to the customer email, you can use the placeholder {customer_email} and add additional recipients email addresses comma separated.
  • Email subject – available variables: {site_title}, {order_number}
  • Content header – available variables: {site_title}, {order_number}
  • Hide default WooCommerce email sections:
    • Tracking information
    • Product details
    • Shipping Address
    • Billing Address
  • Google Analytics link tracking – This will be appended to URL in the email content (e.g. utm_source=email&utm_medium=trackship&utm_campaign=out_for_delivery)
  • Email Content – available placeholders:
    • {site_title}
    • {customer_email}
    • {customer_first_name}
    • {customer_last_name}
    • {customer_company_name}
    • {customer_username}
    • {order_number}
    • {est_delivery_date} –  Estimated Delivery Date placeholder (if available)
