Shipment Status Notifications

Connecting to TrackShip allows you to send automatic shipping & delivery updates to your customers. The shipment Status email are fully customizable and will sent to your customers when there is an update in their shipment status. 

Note: the emails are being sent from your WooCommerce store, the same way your orders emails.

To setup and edit the shipment status emails, on your WordPress admin, navigate to: 

WooCommerce  > TrackShip > Shipment Status Notifications.

Enable Automatic Email Notifications

You can enable customer email notifications for the following Shipment Statuses:

  • In Transit – The shipment is on the way, the carrier has accepted or picked up and scanned the shipment.
  • Available for Pickup – The shipment is ready to pickup.
  • Out for Delivery – Carrier is about to deliver the shipment
  • On Hold – The shipment is on hold
  • Failed Attempt – Carrier attempted to deliver but failed, and usually leaves a notice and will try to deliver the package again.
  • Return To Sender – Shipment is returned to sender
  • Delivered – The shipment was delivered successfully

Note: the notification emails are sent from your WooCommerce Store, the same way the standard WooCommerce order status emails are sent.

Admin Email Notifications

You can enable late shipment email and to get notifications when shipments are late.

  • Late Shipment Days – choose the number of days that a shipment is not delivered to trigger the last shipment notification email.
  • Recipient/s – you can add multiple comma-separated email address 
  • Subject – email subject line, you can use the order number in the title.
  • Email Content – additional email content.
  • Trigger Alert – as it happens or daily digest
  • Choose Hour – for the daily digest option

Customize the Email Notifications

You can chose which shipment statuses email to enable and to edit the shipment status email, you can edit and customize each shipment status email using a customizer with a preview.

Email Customizer Options

  • Enable the email notification – check this option to send automatic email notifications to your customers when shipments update to this Shipment Status
  • Preview order – choose an order to preview in the email customizer
  • Recipients – defaults to the customer email. You can add additional comma-separated email addresses.
  • Email subject –  Choose the email subject. Available variables: {site_title}, {order_number
  • Email Content – additional text after the email header. Available variables: {site_title}, {order_number}, {customer_email}, {customer_first_name}, {customer_last_name}, {customer_company_name}, {order_number}, {est_delivery_date}
  • Display shipping items – display the shipment line items 
  • Display shipping address – uncheck this option to hide the shipping address
  • Display the Tracking Widget – only available for the Delivered shipment status.
  • Google Analytics link tracking – This will be appended to URL in the email content (e.g. utm_source=trackship&utm_campaign=out_for_delivery)

SMS Notification 

You can send automatic SMS notifications to your customers with shipping & Delivery updates, you can use the SMSWOO plugin which allows you to send SMS order updates from your WooCommerce store and is fully compatible with TrackShip’s shipment status notifications. You can send SMS messages to your customers based on the shipment status & delivery status and use in your message variables such as Shipment Status and Est. Delivery Date.
