Shipment Status Notifications

Connecting to TrackShip allows you to send shipment status & delivery email notifications to your customers. The shipment Status email are fully customizable and will automatically sent to your customers when there is an update in their shipment status. 

Note: the emails are being sent from your WooCommerce store, the same way your orders emails.

You can customize email subject, heading, recipients, content, exclude tracking details, order details, shipping address and billing address. To setup and cuztomize the shipment status emails, on your WordPress admin, navigate to:

WooCommerce  > TrackShip > Shipment Status Notifications.

Customer Emails

You can enable customer email notifications for the following Shipment Statuses:

In Transit 
The shipment is on the way, the carrier has accepted or picked up and scanned the shipment.

Available for Pickup
The shipment is ready to pickup.

Out for Delivery
Carrier is about to deliver the shipment

On Hold
The shipment is on hold

Failed Attempt
Carrier attempted to deliver but failed, and usually leaves a notice and will try to deliver the package again.

Return To Sender
Shipment is returned to sender

The shipment was delivered successfully

Note: the shipment status notification emails are being sent from your WooCommerce Store, the same as the standard WooCommerce order status emails, the only difference is that they are based on the shipment status.

Customize the Email Notifications

You can chose which shipment statuses email to enable and to edit the shipment status email, you can edit and customize each shipment status email using a customizer with a preview.

Email Customizer Options

Enable the email notification

Preview order – choose the order to preview in the email customizer

Recipients – defaults to the customer email, you can use the placeholder {customer_email} and add additional recipients email addresses comma separated.

Email subject – available variables: {site_title}, {order_number}

Hide default WooCommerce sections

  • Tracking information
  • Product details
  • Shipping Address
  • Billing Address

Email Content – additional text after the email header. Available placeholders:

  • {site_title}
  • {customer_email}
  • {customer_first_name}
  • {customer_last_name}
  • {customer_company_name}
  • {customer_username}
  • {order_number}
  • {est_delivery_date} (if available)

Google Analytics link tracking – This will be appended to URL in the email content (e.g. utm_source=trackship

Tip – If you do not want your customers to view the shipping provider name and you want to change the display name and the shipping provider image on the order and shipment status emails, my-account section and on TrackShip’s Tracking Page – https://youtu.be/BKGXdr7-mtw

Admin Email Notifications

  • Late Shipment notifications – Notify admin If a shipment reached the number of days that you define, and the shipment status is not yet “delivered” or “Returned to Sender”.
